Mapping and Charting Officer
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Mapping and Charting Officer (E01 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
\xc2\xb7 Pay Rate - \xc2\xa315.21 per/hr
\xc2\xb7 Location - Belfast
\xc2\xb7 Benefits - 37 days holiday per annum
\xc2\xb7 Hours - 37 hours per week
Responsibilities will include:
OSNI are establishing a temporary team with the aim to complete a pilot study to assess the feasibility of creating a land cover and use map of Northern Ireland. The job holder will be required to:
\xc2\xb7 Capture, collate, process, and visualise spatial data.
\xc2\xb7 Analyse and present data using GIS software/methods including geo-statistical and spatial analysis.
\xc2\xb7 Utilize remote sensing techniques.
\xc2\xb7 Integrate spatial and non-spatial datasets through various methods including database and spreadsheet manipulation.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
\xc2\xb7 Experience of utilising GI software, e.g. Esri ArcGIS Pro, Esri ArcMap, QQIS, Erdas Imagine
Desired Experience/Qualifications
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
\xc2\xb7 FME
\xc2\xb7 Environmental land cover-based research
