This role reports into the Managing Director.

Job Function



Manage multi manufacturing sites; a site specialising food supplements, personal care and pharma products, FSSC22000, BRC GMP, GDP and Chemical production facility and a warehouse operation for specialities. Develop manufacturing capability for new processes. Responsible for H, S, E & Q compliance of manufacturing operations.

Duties



Manufacturing



Lead and manage the agile manufacturing and facilities maintenance team. Develop production plans and schedules. Maintain equipment proactively. Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with BRC, GMP, and chemical regulations. Support transfer of processes from R&D to manufacturing. Collaborate with QRESH and Innovation teams. Participate in teams developing new manufacturing processes. Lead capital investment projects and equipment commissioning. Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and waste management. Contribute to HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP plans.

Warehouse Management



Collaborate with Warehouse Manager for specialised operations. Manage repacking, relabelling, dispatch, and transport logistics.

Health & Safety



Conduct Risk and COSHH assessments. Review MSDS and ensure proper material handling. Produce Dangerous Goods Notes (DGN) as needed. Ensure safe unloading, mapping, and storage of chemicals and ingredients following segregation rules

Training



Organise and deliver training sessions.

Abilities & Skills



Leadership experience in a BRC or GMP manufacturing, or equivalent highly regulated operations. Chemical Engineering or chemical processing qualification/background. Clear written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail, particularly with respect to weights and measures. Ability to give and follow instructions in adherence to strict deadlines. Thriving under pressure, at ease in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiastic towards change and under agile and fast-evolving circumstances. Good strategic decision-making as well as firm and swift decision-making when required. Driven to success, self-motivated and pro-actively engaging stakeholders towards achieving end goals. Good proficiency in MS Office package. Professional telephone manner Experience within a customer service environment
Desirable:

A Fork Lift Truck qualification and valid licence. Knowledge of handling chemicals, as would a qualification in labelling and packing in accordance with IATA and ADR Regulations, although training will be provided. Pay: Up to 55,000.00 per year
