Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of NI\'s leading engineering firms for the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer. This firm has just won several new clients and have plans to significantly grow their engineer team this year. This role offers clear progression plans to take the next step in your career
Your new role
- Improve and maintain production systems to deliver product on time to quality and cost requirements
- Support continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement and machine availability through lean techniques
- Support product design for manufacture and assembly activities
- Develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timescales
- Identify and justify capital equipment investment
- Analyze and improve material usage, downtime, and identify trends and develop solutions
- Ensure accuracy of manufacturing engineering procedures, documentation and systems data
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- A third level qualification in a relevant engineering field
- Considerable relevant experience in a similar environment, i.e. aerospace, automotive or heavy engineering.
- Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD
