About the Role:

As our Machinist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production team in manufacturing and machining SMC products to the highest quality standards promoted to our customers. You'll be joining a friendly team, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are at the heart of what we do. Working on small-batch precision components, you'll have the freedom to create and develop your own machining concepts while receiving support from an experienced Team Leader.

What You'll be Doing:

Operating manual mill and lathe machinery from technical drawings. Machining of materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, nylon, and composites. Interpreting technical drawings and producing precision components to spec. Using multi-axis (4-axis) machines to complete high-quality machining work. Inspection and pass off of machined parts to ensure quality. Upholding a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Manual machine operations.

What You'll Bring:

Solid experience as a mill/lathe operator. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Comfortable machining a variety of materials. Experience with a range of workshop machinery. NVQ Level 3 (or above) in a relevant engineering qualification. Familiarity with quality procedures and health & safety regulations.

Location:

You'll be based on site in Chandlers Ford. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting.
