The Skills You Need: Relevant UK experience in developing Fund Finance products as well as managing / leading a team. Candidate with less experience could be considered as a Senior Relationship Manager

  • have experience in Financial Institutions in the international markets across products
  • have UK experience in developing Funds Financing products
  • have been in a managing role (Senior Manager / Deputy Head / Head of Department)

Summary:
  • Lead the FI team to grow and develop FI function for London Branch.
  • Build professional working relationship with Head Office to support with day-to-day queries and reports.
  • Manage the relationship with all AP and Americas Financial Institutions including bank and non-bank institutions, particular in areas such as Treasury and trading.
  • Execute banking solutions to meet the needs of new and existing Financial Institution clients,
  • Be registered as a London branch Certified Person with regards contacting and dealing with customers
Key result areas
  • Performance and achievement against branch and department KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Ensure compliance with all branch and regulatory policies and requirements including conduct and AML
  • Complete all mandatory training
  • Support development of new products and work with colleagues across all departments.
What You\'ll be Doing Each Day:
  • Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and English.
  • Lead FI Team / Fund Financing Division to achieve London Branch\xe2\x80\x99s FI KPIs.
  • Build and develop a network of Asia Pacific and Americas Financial Institutions in the local financial community, establish and maintain relationship with Financial Institution (Bank and non-bank), particularly in areas such as Treasury, Trading and FI loans/bond investment.
  • Carry out product management, provide new product planning, identify new business opportunities and bolster new growth points. Particular interest is developing funding lines and syndicate loan/bilateral loan/bond investment opportunities from Asia Pacific and Americas Financial Institutions.
  • Organize marketing events to promote the banks Financial Markets product and services to FI clients.
  • Provide credit and business proposals and reviews and manage the client relationship through the full product cycle including on-boarding and documentation;
  • Carry out KYC and AML related work on Financial Institution clients (specifically but not limited to Asia Pacific and Americas)
  • In addition to these duties, the Employee may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties within his/her capacity as necessary to meet the needs of the bank\'s business.
  • Ad hoc requirements
The skills you need to succeed:
  • Extensive experience in developing fund Financing products in the international markets .
  • Experience in working in a fast growing small branch in London.
  • Strong credit analysis skillset, good written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to work cohesively with all levels both internally and externally.
  • Broad and pragmatic thinker, capable of quickly interpreting information and presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned way.
  • Thorough and accurate detailed analytical mind through which they are capable of identifying and communicating the key issues without getting lost in the detail.
  • Accountable for own decisions and prepared to take ownership and responsibility for their duties.
  • Mandarin is not essential but as an advantage.
  • Degree educated (minimum).
  • SMCR Certified Person / Previous regulatory authorisation as CF30 or equivalent regulatory authorisation preferred
  • FCA and PRA (UK regulators) approved person / registered trader or relevant or equivalent in China or other major markets.
