The UK & ICC Products & Partnerships team sits within the International Card Services organisation, which is comprised of the consumer and commercial international issuing businesses. ICS is an integral part of the global growth strategy for AXP and offering differentiated products and services is critical to our success. This team promises to drive significant growth and value through the delivery of innovative products, tailored to the needs of our customers.


How will you make an impact in this role?





The role will provide analytical support to product and marketing within the UK, assisting with data and insights. This role is essential in enabling the UK Card Services business to continue to offer our cardmembers best in class products, services and experiences with highly effective communications.




Projects will require the ability to assess business needs, develop analytical solutions and effectively deliver relevant findings, using a combination of data insights and strategic thought. The work will be varied and has a direct impact on business outcomes, providing exposure to both consumer and commercial card products in the UK and our International Currency Cards. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an ability to effectively manage and prioritise a multitude of initiatives to ensure consistent delivery.


Key success metrics will include growing our billed business, driving down attrition rates, improving customer satisfaction and benefit engagement, and successfully managing portfolio profitability.

Responsibilities


Partner with skilled product and marketing teams providing an analytical viewpoint and strategic direction for high profile decisions Develop ad-hoc analytics and reporting to drive insights and measure performance for UK & ICC product and marketing Proactively identify opportunities for growth and margin enhancement/efficiency improvements across portfolios Partner with cross functional teams such as finance, risk and COE analytics to ensure data integrity and accuracy, and to drive continuous improvement of enterprise data environments Overall project management of ad-hoc requests and management of project pipelines and product backlogs Communication of recommendations to a non-technical / senior audience Contribute to a collaborative, growth focused and engaging team work environment

Qualifications


SQL programming skills mandatory, preferably in a consultancy-style environment Excellent Excel skills Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, demonstrating outstanding analytical abilities and the capability to distill large data sets into actionable insights Ability to translate business questions into analytical queries with a proven track record of driving actionable business insights and recommendations Excellent written and oral communication skills, in particular the ability to tailor communication style to explain complex analysis simply and concisely to non-technical audiences. Must be able to think creatively and innovatively and continually look for opportunities to add value to products and marketing initiatives Strong communication skills and ability to influence across band levels Flexible, self-motivated and independent thinker interested in challenging the status quo and with an optimistic attitude and willingness to learn
