Job Description

Julian Charles is a homeware brand that sells beautifully made soft furnishings, including quality bedding, luxury duvets and home accessories. The business is a multi-channel retailer with over 70 stores across the U.K and an online website that is going from strength to strength.

We are looking for an enthusiastic retail Manager to come and join our successful and growing company, at our Livingston Designer Outlet store

Our Store Managers role requirements are:

To maximise sales and improve standards of service and presentation via store visits.
To maximise shop sales across all targeted areas, through developing the store layout in a manner that realises maximum sales potential.

Responsible for ensuring that customers receive assistance as required, and that such service is both courteous and helpful whenever requested.

To ensure that high standards of shop/concession presentation are maintained.

To develop commitment and motivation amongst staff to build a positive working environment. To ensure that all staff are productively deployed and effectively utilised with forward planning to take account of holidays and absence.
To ensure that staff are fully aware of their job responsibilities within the guidelines of the job descriptions.

To ensure effective communication is maintained with senior management and head office.

To ensure that the highest standard of cleanliness and tidiness of fixtures, stock and displays are maintained, both on the shop floor and in storage areas.

To ensure that all daily and weekly administrative procedures are completed and checked as per Company guidelines.

To observe all Company health and safety regulations and to actively encourage adherence by other staff members.

Understanding importance of KPI's. Visual merchandising.
The successful candidate will have the following qualities: -

Enthusiasm The importance of great customer service Basic IT knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel Verbal communication Organizational skills Strong leadership skills Confidence Honesty Previous management experience preferred
Full training will be given and ongoing support throughout.
