Management Accountant -The Garlic Farm (IOW) Limited The Garlic Farm in Newchurch is a popular Island food business with very active ecommerce and wholesale departments, selling our garlic products to customers all over the UK. We are now seeking a Management Accountant to join our team The position is for 4 days a week (28 hours in total) within our main office which is located a short distance from The Garlic Farm\xe2\x80\x99s main site. As Management Accountant, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be an integral part of our Finance Team, assisting supervising a small finance team and reporting to the Finance Controller. Reflecting strong business growth in the last few years, it is a busy department and is responsible for the accounting for a number of different Group business entities. Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Overseeing the 2 company payrolls
• Overseeing the fortnightly supplier runs
• Preparing and posting monthly journals in Sage/ Finance Systems
• Assisting with the monthly management accounts for the Group
• Assisting with the Financial Reporting for the Group
• Supervising the quarterly VAT returns for the Group
• Co-ordinating Stock Control on different sites with relevant location managers
• Assisting with a number of new projects including implementation of a new Finance System
• Assisting with any other adhoc financial info requests

Experience and skills needed:

• AAT qualified and/or part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Detailed knowledge of Sage 50 essential and some knowledge of Xero and other financial systems would be useful
• Advanced Excel Skills for preparation of excel based management reporting and support of other team members
• General good IT skills to understand other packages used in the business
• Experienced and conscientious individual
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Team player, used to supervising and supporting other team members
