Axon Moore are partnering with an exciting and growing construction business who have their head office based in Salford and are looking to appoint a Management Accountant into their accounts team.

This role will report to the Financial Controller and will be a varied role covering management accounts, month-end, some reporting and VAT/CIS returns. We are looking for someone with exposure who is looking to learn and grow as a Management Accountant.

Salary - \xc2\xa335-40k per annum, discretionary bonus up to 10%, 28 days holiday plus banks, 6% pension, life insurance x3, private medical insurance, discount card, free gym, electric car scheme and free parking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Ensuring that finance reporting timelines are adhered to.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations & analysis
• Input of financial transactions, including Sales, Purchases & Bank transactions
• Management of the Sales, Purchase and Subcontract Ledgers.
• Supplier & Subcontractor payments runs.
• Submission of Quarterly & Monthly VAT returns.
• Submission of CIS returns.
• Assist with monthly cost reports and dealing with cost queries from the QS team.
• Processing of credit card transactions

Experience and skills:

• Part qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Experience with month-end and management accounts
• Experience with Sage 50 or 200 would be an advantage
• Good communication skill, both written and verbal
• Quick learner with strong work ethic - proactive in your work, showing initiative
• Team player, positive attitude and happy to help the wider team where needed
• Good attention to detail and able to work to a fast pace where necessary
