Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with an exciting and growing construction business based in central Manchester who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant into their accounts team.

This role will report to the Financial Controller and will be a varied role covering all aspects of the management accounts, month-end, reporting and identifying areas for improved efficiency. We are looking for someone who is looking to learn and grow as a Management Accountant.

Salary - \xc2\xa345k per annum + \xc2\xa35k car allowance, discretionary bonus up to 10%, 28 days holiday plus banks, 6% pension, life insurance x3, private medical insurance, discount card, free gym, electric car scheme and free parking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in preparing the monthly management accounts.
• Ensuring that finance reporting timelines are adhered to.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations & analysis
• Overall management of the Sales, Purchase and Subcontract Ledgers.
• Oversee Supplier & Subcontractor payments runs.
• Assist with monthly cost reports and dealing with cost queries from the QS team.
• Provide support to the transactional team and provide holiday/absence cover to include input of financial transactions, including Sales, Purchases & Bank transactions.
• Look to improve the level of reporting and analysis available to the rest of the business.

Experience and skills:

• Newly qualified ACCA/CIMA or first-time mover from practice.
• Experience with month-end and management accounts.
• Experience with Sage 50 or 200 would be an advantage.
• Good communication skill, both written and verbal.
• Quick learner with strong work ethic - proactive in your work, showing initiative.
• Team player, positive attitude and happy to help the wider team where needed.
• Good attention to detail and able to work to a fast pace where necessary.
