Management Accountant

Salary: \xc2\xa335,000 - \xc2\xa340,000 + Great Benefits (Pension, Study Support, Hybrid Working)

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit an ambitious and driven Management Accountant. Based in Manchester, this is a broad and all-encompassing role which exposes you to a wide variety of global stakeholders in the business. Reporting into the Finance Manager and working closely with other divisions of the business, you will play a part in the company\'s strategic planning process.

The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in the finance function of the business and is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team, with every opportunity to take ownership of the full finance function. You will have a keen eye for detail, an inquisitive mind and be driven to interrogate the numbers and to question the status quo, where collaborate working and learning opportunities are part of everyday.

A full job specification is available but below is a brief overview of general duties:-

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, inclusive of balance sheet reconciliations and forecast for yearly outturn.
• Management reporting for the service centre business
• Monitor, review and evaluate the sales and operations cost base pack including variance analysis, budget holder reviews and bottoms up budgeting.
• To provide business partnering to key internal stakeholders to offer pertinent financial information to aid in decision making and strategic planning.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual statutory audits and internal audits
• Working on many ad-hoc tasks and weekly and monthly reporting

The successful applicant will be a Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or processing business.

You will have a tenacious attitude and a willingness to succeed and have experience of working in an environment of strict cash management including detailed forecasting. It would be ideal if you have experience of consolidation work and complex inter-group accounting transactions and experience of using an integrated ERP system

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with continuous improvement in mind, and the ability to motivate oneself, and others, to deliver a high standard of work to agreed timetables, evaluate progress and implement corrective action. You must be organised and able to present conclusions to support decision-making.
