The Hydraulic and Industrial Process Filtration EMEA (HIFE) division has 3 key businesses \xe2\x80\x93 Hydraulic & Lube Filtration, Condition Monitoring and Industrial Process & Refined Fuels. Employing c300 employees and with locations in the UK, Nordics, Dubai, Benelux and the Czech Republic, the division brings together expertise in diverse and complex markets. These markets include Oli & Gas/Chemicals, Mobile, Hydrogen, Marine and Power Generation. This position will support the Industrial Process business and will be based at the division\xe2\x80\x99s headquarters in Gateshead, UK.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Location Controller and part of the division\xe2\x80\x99s Finance team, this role ensures that the financial goals and objectives of the division are achieved. Responsible for reporting management information for month-end, quarter end and annual processing for the Team Valley location. The role is part of the division\xe2\x80\x99s finance team which helps to ensure that effective financial and internal controls are in place at the division. The role will also contribute to financial projects.

Responsibilities

To produce daily, weekly and month end reporting, providing a professional service to both internal and external customers.

To ensure location assets are safeguarded and adequate processes are in place to support financial reporting.

To ensure all internal controls including SOX are in place; maintained and updated as necessary to meet company requirements; and to actively participate in internal audit processes.

Overhead cost analysis.

Month end journals and reconciliations.

Assist with standard costing and works order processes.

Ensure through timely and accurate provision of information the reporting of all financial results including financial statements, midyear reviews, forecasts, budgeting and all cost and financial reporting is done to schedule.

Support the provision of information for statutory reporting and taxation departments at head office.

Provide information to support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Provide liaison and coordination between FSUs, ESSC and Sales Companies as required.

Ensure accounting practises are carried out in accordance with current US GAAP standards.

Assist on special projects as required, as part of the Finance team and the wider business.

Qualifications

Ideally qualified in a finance related subject and be either a newly qualified, passed finalist or finalist \xe2\x80\x93 CIMA or ACCA.

Previous experience of cost accounting within a manufacturing environment working to defined procedures, rules and policies.

Experience of a project cost accounting and standard costing environment is desirable.

Highly numerate with strong problem solving and analytical skills using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is essential.

Knowledge and understanding of JD Edwards, US GAPP, SoX, IFRS.

Previous experience of working across borders in a multi-national organisation is an advantage.

Stronger communicator with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels in the organisation

Self motivated with the ability to work on own initiative either alone or as part of the team working to and achieving strict timescales
