Grafton Banks Finance are recruiting a Management Accountant on a permanent basis, for a Brighton based client. This role will be supporting the Finance Manager across budget preparation, producing management accounts, month and year end accounts.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is qualified by experience or studying towards ACCA/CIMA chartered accounting qualifications.

Main responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with main annual budget setting and preparation process
• Cost benefit analysis
• Completing month-end duties, reconciliations, journal postings etc.
• Liaising with external auditors in delivering the annual audit of the year end statutory accounts
• Ensuring that all Nominal Ledger transactions are accurately posted and that journal adjustments are properly approved
• Leading in meetings with budget holders in order to support them in the management of their budgets
• Liaising with the Finance Manager in the delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasting
• Assisting with supporting the finance team, act as deputy whilst Finance Manager is away.
• A range of other ad hoc duties.

• Studying towards professional accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA) *or* be qualified by experience.
• Ideally have experience working in property/housing sector, charity or public sector.
• Strong experience with preparation of management accounts
• Confident Excel user, and exposure to a range of accountancy systems
