Sewell Wallis are working with an acquisitive group in Barnsley looking to appoint a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Accountant with previous manufacturing experience to really make their mark on the performance of the business!

The Management Accountant reports direct to the Group Finance Director, managing a small team in a business renowned for great internal promotion opportunities.

The job;

  • Managing and preparation of financial information to the business - monthly reporting including Board pack, annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, recurring KPIs and weekly Cashflow.
  • Management and supervision of the Finance team to meet the required deliverables across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
  • Managing, mentoring and supporting the Finance team with individual development plans.
  • Analysis of the numbers to understand and address variances and inefficiencies within the business.
  • Manage external reporting - Invoice discounting facility, HMRC (VAT & PAYE), pensions etc.
  • Management and preparation of information to support a clean annual external audit report.
  • Building a good relationship with internal Operations teams, external advisors, insurers and banks.
  • Promoting a Right First Time (RFT) and On Time In Full (OTIF) culture and adherence to the control framework.
