We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves working closely with clients, offering support in various aspects of daily living, including personal care, companionship, and emotional support, supervising junior staff. A strong commitment to promoting independence and dignity for those we serve is essential.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
Supervising junior staff which includes supervisions, shift management, clients paperwork management, etc.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
Assist with behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate professionals.
Support clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
Previous experience in childcare, home care, or patient care is required; previous experience at team leader/supervisor level.
NVQ Level 3/5
Knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred.
Familiarity with hospice care or senior care practices is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients.
Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy in challenging situations.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care are beneficial but not mandatory.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in behaviour management techniques.
