We have a new position within a steel manufacturing business based in Sheffield who are recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor as part of a restructure in the. The role is based at their modern UK Head office site which is commutable from Rotherham, Sheffield and Barnsley.

Working as a Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for reporting into the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for managing a small team of 3 fitters, 1 electrician and 1 apprentice. You must have an electrical bias to apply for this role and it will be 80% hands on 20% supervisory duties;

• Supervisory duties will include workload planning, safety checks, conducting tool box talks, leading daily maintenance meetings, audits, identifying training needs

• Support in the further development of internal maintenance management software
• Maintain and repair all production machines including CNC machines and robotic machines
• Record all maintenance activity on the computerised maintenance management systems
• Implement all safe working procedures and practices

This role would suit candidates with previous experience of working as a Lead Maintenance, Maintenance Team Leader or Maintenance Supervisor within a light, medium or heavy engineering, production or manufacturing industry. The successful Maintenance Supervisor will;

• Be a motivational leader and decision maker
• Have experience of deploying modern Total Preventative Maintenance procedures.
• Possess strong knowledge regarding health and safety including tool box talks and risk assessments
• Have a minimum of 2 / 3 years in a supervisory level position
• Be electrically biased with Level 3 minimum
• 18th edition qualified ideally

This role will be based at their UK Head office site in Sheffield and the company provides an excellent package or the Maintenance Manager position including:
