Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor - Band 5
Location: WHSCT Altnagelvin Hospital
The Client: WHSCT
The Role: To supervise the maintenance actions required to ensure the Trust comply with Statutory and DHSS guidance. This will involve supervision on a multi-disciplinary team of Estates staff and external contractors.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil a requirement to: -
- Act as Team Leader and Co-ordinator.
- Efficiently and effectively organise resources including Labour, Transportation and Materials (including Requisition, Supply, Deployment and Security).
- Be responsible for satisfactory time keeping and conduct of those under his control.
- Maintain Standards of Discipline.
- Promote co-operation and versatility.
- Ensure acceptable standards of Productivity and Workmanship in the execution of Programmes of Work.
- Supervise Maintenance and Minor Capital Works Projects. Issue Permits as required.
- Keep such plans and records as are appropriate.
- Observe Statutory and other relevant requirements, in particular those related to Health & Safety.
- Fulfil requirements relating to the training and instruction of Craftsmen and apprentices.
- Refer and report to immediate Superior as required.
Requirements: Time served CITB or EITB Apprenticeship, Electrical / Mechanical
AND
5 years post apprentice experience
AND
1 years additional supervisory experience
AND
City& Guilds of London
Institute certificate in either:
Course 236 in Electrical Installation Work Part 2 cert
(Course Ref: 236-2)
OR
Mechanical or Plumbing Craft Exams equivalent to the above.
