We are currently looking for a full time Mechanical Maintenance Shift Coordinator to join our on-site Newton Abbot maintenance team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role of Maintenance Shift Coordinator is required to provide maintenance services to the sites production team, ensuring maximum plant up time. The role incorporates planned preventative maintenance, maintenance inspections, corrective maintenance and continuous improvement projects. The team cover a 24/7 breakdown support via a call out system.

The role requires you to manage a small team.

Responsibilities:

To follow the Sibelco Health, Safety and Environmental policy ensuring all systems/standards are applied at all times. Take responsibility for the planned , preventative and breakdown maintenance requirements, together with support for any capital modifications to plant. Use skills and experience to monitor plants performance and condition to identify potential breakdowns before they occur, ensuring that any required actions are correctly reported. To operate within the maintenance schedule, ensuring consistent maintenance of all plant across the site. Be actively involved in new plant installations/modifications from the design stage through to final commissioning. Provide 24/7 support to the site via a call out rota system To ensure all safety checks are completed and any maintenance required is logged, reported and remedial action taken.

Requirements:



A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Educated to HNC/HND with a Mechanical Engineering bias or production engineering; Certified welding/burning and fabrication skills including pipe fitting and erection. Certified competence for pneumatic and hydraulic control systems. Be able to demonstrate compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation. Manual Handlings, lifting and slinging Able to operate MEWP/FLT/Telehandlers Good level of bench skills and machining Overhaul of pumps and pumping system components, gearboxes and material handling systems. Systematic approach to fault finding/understanding of analytical processes for maintenance i.e. 5S/RCA/FMEA/SMED etc Good level of IT knowledge, MS office Candidates must be able to work as part of a team and be flexible to the needs of the site.

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
