A typical day as Maintenance Project Surveyor

• You\xe2\x80\x99ll provide predictable, reliable and consistent outcomes to all Home Group customers, colleagues and stakeholders, with day-to-day accountability for quality control on planned maintenance works.
• Providing in house technical support, problem solving and advice on specifications and standards. You\xe2\x80\x99ll ensure planned maintenance works are completed on time, to budget and specifications.
• Regular site inspections of works carried out in our customers homes to check quality, standards, health and safety checks, taking any corrective actions.
• Ensuring stock conditioning information is current and accurate to informed planned works programmes now and in the future.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll work in our Central South team, predominately looking after a patch of properties in Peterborough and surrounding areas.

You have

• RICS or CIOB accredited, with a Building Surveying degree or similar qualification. Or strong equivalent professional experience.
• Experience of working as a tradesperson, Clerk of Works, Surveyor or other similar technical property maintenance role with a current knowledge of building construction, repairs and safety.
• A competent knowledge of relevant and current, codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards and materials.
• A commercial mindset, being curious and confident to challenge spend and quality of works, keeping programmes of work delivered on time and within budget. You\'ll be a self-starter, able to work unsupervised to manage your own patch.
• A vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we\xe2\x80\x99ll pay your mileage!

You\xe2\x80\x99ll join Mark, our Maintenance Contract Manager and our South-Central Maintenance team who are super passionate about what they do. They are a supportive bunch, working collaboratively to provide quality homes and safe places to live for our customers.

Job details

• Working Monday to Friday, you\xe2\x80\x99ll shape your own diary around work, customers\xe2\x80\x99 and your own commitments.
• This is a hybrid role, so you\xe2\x80\x99ll typically spend some days in our office, others working at home and the majority working in our properties in Peterborough and surrounding areas.
• You must be able to use technology for updating records, budget and KPI management, completing online learning and collaborating with other colleagues.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
