Main purpose of the role:
Carry out general maintenance and repair work as part of the maintenance team, with specific responsibility for the building fabric. You will also be expected to carry out other maintenance tasks that could include plumbing, drainage, temporary roof repair, pest proofing, carpentry, painting and general site cleaning both inside and out.
You will report directly to the Engineering Manager, however you will also work closely with the operational team and onsite contractors, to ensure works are carried out in a safe/ productive and cost-effective manner with minimal disruption to production and colleagues.
The shift pattern for this role is, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 17:00pm.
The main duties of the role include:
Maintain internal and external areas of the site to high standard using appropriate materials
Become the site "go to person" on all things that are cosmetic maintenance related.
Undertake cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain and improve the aesthetic requirements of the site
Support in project works relating to the buildings and external areas of the site to ensure completed to a high aesthetic standard and in line with regulations where appropriate.
Ensure all tasks are completed in line with the health and safety policy.
Ensure compliance to legislation and operating standards.
Any other reasonable requests.

Formal apprenticeship or craft trained
Light maintenance experience.
Positive and helpful approach and attitude
Experience in Food Manufacturing environment advantageous
General building and maintenance experience advantageous.
Brick & blockwork repairs, including pointing advantageous
Punctuality.
Good organisational skills
Must be a team player.
Able to demonstrate an ability to act responsibly
Have a flexible approach to working hours to allow continuity of the manufacturing process.
