The role.




Are you a handyperson? A practical powerhouse who carries tools in case of an emergency? Can you spot a maintenance problem before it even becomes one?


You'll make Locke feel like home by keeping our building and apartments looking fresh, so our guests feel comfortable, relaxed and cared-for. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, with a dotted line to the General Manager, you'll oversee services, repairs, painting, and upkeep of apartments to standards worth writing home about.

What it looks like;




Working with the General Manager to set an annual maintenance budget and sticking to it throughout the year Coaching and being accountable for your team, including setting SMART objectives Delegating effectively to keep things running like clockwork Being a role model for edyn's values Regularly reviewing service contracts and purchase orders Creating and delivering a refurbishment schedule Making sure apartments are looking and working their best for guests' arrivals and throughout their stays Carrying out maintenance quickly and efficiently to minimise impact on revenue Looking ahead to possible future maintenance issues and proactively resolving them Being on-call for maintenance needs, including out-of-hours on a rota system Supporting management in staying on top of health and safety duties Possibly managing new building works and projects, including supporting on refurbishments Being the point-person for contractors and making sure work is up to scratch Using CAFM systems and reporting Being happy working both on your own and as part of a team Line management responsibility of a team (where applicable) Being an active member of the team in meetings and development sessions Handing over thoroughly to front desk to make sure the housekeeping team is up-to-speed with maintenance developments Working closely with the team to ensure uninterrupted service to guests Communicating calmly with guests to resolve any issues

What you'll need:




Human-led leadership skills and experience managing a team Ideally plumbing, gas and electrical trade qualifications Ideally experience of launching a new building Intuitive customer service Natural influencing skills with a knack for managing expectations Brain built for problem solving Reliable decision-making Confidence to act quickly and take smart risks based on insight Strong grasp of spoken and written English Impeccable attention to detail Rock-solid time management Flexible approach and a can-do attitude Confidence using IT systems and software (including Microsoft Office)
