Your Contribution

The Maintenance Manager, as a key member of the operations management team, will lead our maintenance operations and ensure our production, warehouse and ancillary equipment are operating safely and efficiently.

How you will help:

Optimal Production Processes

Lead your maintenance team to deliver optimum machine availability

Plan and co-ordinate routine, preventative and repair works

Diagnose, report and resolve breakdowns

Minimise Downtime

Be Audit Ready

Maintain suitable and sufficient equipment and spares

Liase with and manage 3rd party suppliers and sub contractors

Ensure compliance to standards

Spec and deliver CAPEX projects on existing equipment and production lines

Deliver Continuous Improvement and Cost Effectiveness

People Management

Organise, plan and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff

Recruit and induct staff

Lead, train and coach production staff

Ensure effective performance and compliance with rules

Manage attendance

Ensure a positive culture

Keeping the house in order:

Ensure a clean and safe work environment

Lead by example and ensure others follow the rules

Manage basic testing and quality checks

See it & Say It

Report and document overall shift actions

Contribute to management and audit reporting

Provide overall shift direction and performance feedback

Ask and encourage others to ask questions

What you need to do the job:

Essential:

Relevant mechanical and electrical expertise and experience

Managing People

Managing a Maintenance Function

Supporting an OTIF Production Schedule

Management Reporting, Documentation and Audits

Excellent communication skills

High attention to detail

Ability to give and follow instructions.

Excellent numerical and computer skills

Safety, Action and Continuous Improvement orientated

Ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team

Eligibility to work in the UK.

Desirable:

Extensive mechanical and electrical expertise and experience

Knowledge and understanding of animal feeds sector

A Management Qualification

Health & Safety Accreditation
