Purpose

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a field-based role primarily covering maintenance and repairs across our retail shops in the East Midlands, with occasional support at our Derby Bakery. The position includes on-call duties with additional pay.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance, including PPM and emergency repairs. Maintain and repair instore equipment (e.g., ovens, fridges, lighting, plumbing). Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Work closely with store teams and contractors to resolve issues efficiently. Maintain tools, supplies and accurate service records. Provide excellent internal customer service.

Shifts

Day Shifts - 5 days a week, Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week.
On-Call availability required.
Salary 36,000 - 40,000 depending on experience.

Experience

Essential:

Hands-on experience in maintenance and repairs. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Full UK driving licence. Flexible with working hours and occasional out-of-hours work. Excellent communication and time management skills.

Desirable:

Experience with PLC's (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), panel wiring and steam systems. Background in food production environments.

Qualifications

City & Guilds or MVQ/BTEC in Electrical Maintenance/Installation. 18th Edition (BS 7671:2022) certification.
