Maintenance Engineer - Full-Time - Saltaire Brewery

What's the role?

We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our passionate and growing team.

In this key role, you'll be responsible for keeping our brewery running smoothly minimising downtime, maximising performance, and helping us raise the bar in everything from preventative maintenance to continuous improvement.

You'll work closely across departments, manage service contracts, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and make sure our plant and equipment stay safe, reliable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventive maintenance and timely repairs of all production equipment Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults Manage external contractors and service contracts Maintain maintenance documentation and spare parts inventory Support continuous improvement projects and uphold health & safety standards
What we're looking for:

Relevant engineering qualifications (mechanical, electrical, chemical or industrial) Experience in manufacturing and food/beverage production (brewing, distilling, dairy, drinks etc.) Strong understanding of process engineering - fermentation, heat exchange, fluid dynamics, and automation Practical knowledge of pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, steam and cooling systems Hands-on experience with automation & control systems Solid understanding of CIP processes and hygiene standards o Team player mindset with good analytical and communication skills Bonus points if you've worked in a brewery!

Hours & Salary

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Salary: 42,000 to 46,000, depending on experience On-site role based - Unit 7, County Workshops, Dockfield Rd, Shipley BD17 7AR
