Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

• Salary: \xc2\xa340,000.00-\xc2\xa345,000.00 per year

Company: We are a leading recruitment agency partnering with a prominent manufacturing business based in Bolton. Our client is a leader in their industry, and they are seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client\xe2\x80\x99s team in Bolton. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising machinery to meet efficiency and cost targets while ensuring the highest standards of safety.

Responsibilities:

• Utilise your electrical/mechanical expertise to support the business in achieving efficiency and cost targets.
• Identify and resolve health and safety issues related to maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and perform timely repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Identify opportunities for maintenance improvements to enhance production equipment performance.
• Collaborate with production colleagues to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System for efficient record-keeping.
• Liaise with Production supervision about breakdowns and provide comprehensive handover upon completion.
• Coordinate with external contractors and manage parts procurement as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of post-Apprenticeship experience in an Engineering discipline.
• ONC or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
• Previous experience with CNC machines would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to work various shift patterns (no nights) and occasional overtime.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to make rapid decisions in a breakdown situation, adapting to the situation as required, and effectively communicating the decision-making process to those affected.

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: \xc2\xa340,000.00-\xc2\xa345,000.00 per year
• Benefits: Company pension, Life insurance, On-site parking, Sick pay, Wellness programs
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (currently subject to change), Weekend availability
• Supplemental Pay Types: Variable Bonus
• Experience: 5 years (required) in Repair, Electrical Bias Maintenance & Installation Occupations
• Work Location: On-site
