Machine Installer / Mechanical Fitter (Field based role)

Office location: Hunslet, Leeds (80/85% working away from home)

Salary: Competitive + plenty of overtime available

We have exciting opportunities for experienced field based Mechanical Installation Engineers / Machine Installers. These are full-time roles, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working, with overtime opportunities for successful candidates.

As a Mechanical Fitter / Machine Installer at FT, you will play a vital role in our operations. Our machines are industry-leading, and we need exceptional individuals who can not only follow technical drawings but also possess the ability to think on their feet, troubleshoot effectively, and adapt as needed to ensure precise and high-quality machine installations.

Key Responsibilities:

\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0\xef\xb8\x8f Carrying out machine installations nationwide and internationally (don\'t forget your valid passport! \xf0\x9f\x8c\x8d)
\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0\xef\xb8\x8f Collaborating with the project team to ensure successful installations within project timelines.
\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0\xef\xb8\x8f Supporting the commissioning team in testing machines for optimal performance.
\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0\xef\xb8\x8f Troubleshooting and resolving installation issues and technical challenges.
\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0\xef\xb8\x8f Coordinating and communicating effectively with stakeholders, project managers, engineers, and clients.
\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0\xef\xb8\x8f Adhering to safety protocols and company policies throughout the installation process.
\xf0\x9f\x9b\xa0\xef\xb8\x8f Providing timely and accurate documentation and reports for each project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

\xe2\x9c\x85 Proven experience in machine builds and installations.
\xe2\x9c\x85 Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant technical certifications.
\xe2\x9c\x85 Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working with technical drawings and guidelines.
\xe2\x9c\x85 Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools.
\xe2\x9c\x85 Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in changing circumstances.
\xe2\x9c\x85 Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate within a team environment.
\xe2\x9c\x85 Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, taking initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
\xe2\x9c\x85 Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
