Our client is looking for an M&A Economic Modelling Analyst on a 9-month contract basis, located in Aberdeen.
ROLE
Assist in analysis and work with other areas of the business to help prepare presentation materials for corporate level strategic analysis initiatives
Perform commercially sound, accurate, repeatable, and fit-for-purpose analysis with clear presentation of conclusions
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the work on various strategic analysis based on discussion with strategy team
Liaise as needed under guidance with other functions to ensure effective relationships and business delivery
Assist in the preparation of various board and other senior level strategic decision-making materials
Assist as needed in industry strategic and peer groups benchmarking to support corporate strategic review
Ad hoc analysis and evaluation in support of strategy with particular focus on business development activities and mergers, acquisitions and divestments
Timely and high-quality delivery at all times
Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager
REQUIREMENTS
Degree educated (finance/economics, technical or MBA)
Expert user of Microsoft Office suite and other industry standard information systems
Strong focus on detail
Business/technical background with knowledge of and experience in modelling tools used in the oil and gas industry
Understanding of UK & international fiscal law and accounting principles relevant to oil & gas
Ability to work on complex issues and formulate solutions
Commercially aware with good understanding of economic evaluation.
Strong team player with the ability to work closely with other disciplines for integrated evaluations in all areas
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
