Sport and Health Academy is looking for sports leaders/coaches who are active, passionate, and enjoy working with children and young people.

We are recruiting staff who have experience working delivering sports at lunchtimes. Please apply if you are available to start immediately

Job Purpose:

The role of the School Sports Leader is to work as part of the team to lead the day-to-day running of the lunchtime provision by providing high standards of care and delivering a variety of sports opportunities for children between the ages of 11-18 years old in a safe and secure environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up the lunchtime and afterschool club provision 15 minutes before it is due to start

Ensure appropriate planning is in place to maintain the required standards, ensuring that the relevant equipment and resources are available, consulting with the Management Team when necessary.

Attend all training needed to comply with the role such as safeguarding and paediatric first aid and food hygiene

Create a safe, welcoming, and friendly environment delivering high quality creative play opportunities embracing each child's individual needs, unique qualities and personalities.

Fully support inclusive practice and ensure that all children can be involved in the activities offered if they wish.

Consult and liaise with the children and involve them in the planning of activities.

Supervise the children throughout the session ensuring that ratios are always adhered to.

Be always an effective role-model for children and practitioners.

Ensure that children are kept safe

Working hours:

Mon-Fri from 12pm - 1pm (term time only) however more hours may be provided based on qualifications and experience, Must be available to start 12th May

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour
