Job Description
Lunch Cover Assistant is required for our expanding nursery in the beautiful grounds of Lavant House.
We are looking for a qualified Early Years Practitioner to work from 9:00am-2:30pm daily to cover lunch breaks in our nursery and support the team with the running of the nursery. This position is required Monday-Friday but may be offered on a job share over less days if required.
Candidate must have at minimum level 3 Early Years qualification.
Summary
In the role of Lunch Cover, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging with children before and during lunchtime, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. Reporting to the lead teacher, you will utilize your core skills in teaching, communication, and experience with children to foster positive interactions. Your premium expertise in special education will enhance your ability to support diverse learners, while relevant skills in tutoring, mentoring, and creative writing will enrich the children's lunchtime experience.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. Foster communication and social skills through interactive activities and games. Collaborate with teachers and staff to address individual student needs and promote inclusivity. Encourage positive behaviour and conflict resolution among students during lunch breaks.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: 14.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 27.5 per week
