You will process material requests by liaising with internal customers and external suppliers and assist in the effective control and delivery of logistics inventory. You should be flexible in the tasks requested to complete by Team Leaders following the appropriate trainingRoleAs a Logistic Team Member role, you will be responsible for a fast-paced process that requires a high level of accuracy in your work as you monitor and assist in the goods in/out process for the business. Duties will include Picking, Packing and Matching up of orders in a timely fashion with complete accuracy.Upon displaying the correct work ethic and commitment - the role will allow the successful candidate to move through a pathway for further development and career progression.What youxe2x80x99ll be doingAt Scottish Power our priority is to Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.Take delivery of goods and suppliesCheck for damaged or missing itemsStore goods appropriatelyPick and pack orders for dispatchMove stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truckLoad goods for dispatchInput data regarding stock and inventory into the SAP ERP system (Training Provided)Keep accurate stock recordsCarry out weekly stock counts locally and across the network as and when requiredKeep paperwork up to dateEnsure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling proceduresOperate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of othersHandle any hazardous materials in an appropriate mannerKeep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiencyMake recommendations to aid efficiency and add valueOther duties include assisting with general office administration including the updating of inventory systems, maintain necessary document control systems, attend and participate in Team + Safety Briefs.What youxe2x80x99ll bringExcellent Customer Service and Communication Skills.Excellent Planning and Organisation Skills.Good Telephone Manner.Excellent Time Management skills.Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.Flexible approach and ability to prioritise tasks.Developed skills using Microsoft Office Packages.(Word and excel)Familiarisation of SAP, Plant and Circuits, Business Objects.
