Transport Resource Planner



As an integral member of the Transport and Logistics Team, you will be at ease ensuring customer delivery targets are met by utilising route and transport resources and staff planning to achieve delivery optimisation and management of customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Route Planning



Managing daily orders to meet nationwide delivery demands Plan effective routes for multi-drop drivers within lead-time expectations Ensure all runs depart as scheduled, advise customers and re-book if required Co-ordination of bulk trade deliveries with customers Managing driver allocation, loading boards and weekly schedules

Third Party Logistics



Administration and management of orders with third party logistics partners Liaise with internal stakeholders and third-party logistics partners for timely delivery and despatch Build a working relationship with approved transport providers Maintain accurate documents for deliveries, collections and issue resolution Prepare/analyse reports on third-party logistics partners

Customer Management



Ensure administration of Customer Data & Planning is kept up to date Develop issue resolution techniques to support customer demand Report on delivery analytics Book deliveries directly with customers, managing expectations at every step Appropriately escalate any customer issues that need resolving

Fleet and Vehicle Management



Support management of vehicle requirements and maintenance schedules Ensure fleet optimisation and reliability Work cross-functionally with the wider logistics management team Effectively capture driver feedback to resolve any challenges or issues Work with wider Operations team to develop Driver communication

KPI's



Delivery lead times Fleet efficiency / cost per load Route planning Deliveries achieved OTIF Accurate administration

Person Specification - Essential



Experience in an administrative role essential Self-motivated, confident when dealing with stakeholders at all levels Well organised with strong technical/analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Packages Forge close working relationships across a broad spectrum of individuals Work independently as well as part of a team Proven record of meeting deadlines, prioritising multiple tasks Ability to articulate and present information verbally and written Flexible, adaptable and solution focused. Working Mon to Fri and 1 in 3 Saturdays

Experience of working in logistics Experience of working in a load planning role. Experience of working in a route planning role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 24,000.00-34,000.00 per year
