I am looking for an Freight Administrator to join a friendly and established team based in Bacup. Your role will be to liaise with Customers, hauliers, airlines, shipping lines, agents, suppliers and other departments within the company - helping a smooth process from start to finish.
*Please note I am not looking for a manager, this is not a managers position - you will be working on a desk alongside other team members*
I am however looking for a candidate that has previously worked within a "Freight Forwarders" Or has understanding of how this works - perhaps you have done a similar role within Warehouse Logistics? I am not too fussed on years of experience or if within transport, air or ocean as the team already established can move around if they have to accommodate!
For this role the "Main Duties" will include:
" Taking enquires from clients
" Negotiating rates with hauliers, shipping lines, suppliers and agents
" Providing clients with quotations
" Input onto system and book up with hauliers and shipping lines.
" Customs entries
" Prepare Bill of lading instructions
" Sending information to the agents within the deadlines
" Submit information within the required time frame.
" Checking of original/express release bills
" Tracking to make sure shipments have been collected and shipped as booked.
" Completion of export documentation
" Complete and send pre-alert documentation
" Generate sales invoices
" Complete job costings
" General freight forwarding tasks
" Scanning Documentation
" Filing
Salary is negotiable depending on experience \xc2\xa325,000+
