Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting a Logistics Operations Team Leader to to work in a clean, modern and fast paced manufacturing environment on the Thornbury area of Bristol.

We need the ideal candidate to be a strong leader with extensive knowledge of KPI\'s and how to achieve them. You will be expected to ensure the strong operating procedures are followed at all times, you will also be able to adhere to all HS&E policies. You will also be required to cover the Logistics Shift Manager when absent, Contribute and actively support the continuous development and improvement of all department work practices, processes and services. To liaise with the Supply Chain department to manage stock levels, implementation of new products as and when needed.

The Job:

• Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards
• Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times
• Ensure all records are up to date and completed appropriately
• Ensure that the escalation procedure for service related concerns is followed
• Ensure achievement of productivity throughput against stated capacity targets
• Ensure the team are aware of day to day targets and responsibilities
• Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure
• Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools and ensure that operators comply with PPE requirements
• Undertake continuous training and development
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
• Monitor the department\xe2\x80\x99s objectives and take action where needed
• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures
• Build strong working relationships with 3rd party service providers for the deployment of excellent service.
• Deputise for the Shift Manager in times of absence. (Approx 5 weeks of the year)

About You:

• Need to be able to work a rotating shift (6:00-14:00/14:00-22:00)
• Reliability is a must
• Confident using computers
