Locum Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with special interest in Gynaecology Oncology and Colposcopy
The Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking applications from candidates to apply for the post of locum Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with special interest in Gyn. Oncology and colposcopy. This post is suitable for doctors who are seeking more experience after obtaining CCT before applying for a substantive post.
The post is for a period of 12 months initially with possibility for extension and for the post to become substantive.
The appointment will be 10 PAs and includes being non-resident 1:12 on call for obstetrics and gynecology.
The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital services (at the Great Western Hospital) and community health and maternity services across Wiltshire and parts of Bath and North East Somerset.
At the Great Western Hospital we have all of the facilities you would expect to find in a busy general hospital including an Emergency Department, delivery suite, a full range of diagnostics tests such as X-ray, MRI and CT scans, outpatient clinics and21 inpatient wards. We provide these services in a very modern environment ensuring patients have privacy and dignity throughout their care.
Main duties of the job
The appointee should be trained in all aspects of general obstetrics and gynaecology. It is expected that the appointee will contribute to the gynaecology oncology and colposcopy services as well as the general Obstetrics and Gynaecology on call rota.
