Applications are invited to apply for Locum Consultant in ENT to cover one year of maternity leave. This Locum appointment will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of service for the 2003 consultant contract (England).The successful candidate will be an additional member of a team of four existing dynamic ENT consultant surgeons, one of whom is on maternity leave.
This is a locum post and provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated clinician within a developing and growing service. This locum post is to cover maternity leave and will be for one year, but reviewed at three month intervals.
Main duties of the job
The ENT department provides a general Rhinology, Laryngology, Otology and Diagnostic Head and Neck Service and is located in a dedicated area that also houses the Audiology service, which is provided by a committed team of technicians led by an Audiological scientist. There are a number of established specialist clinics including Neck Lump clinic, Joint Clinic, Voice clinic and Rhinology clinic. A specialist Otology Clinic and Balance service is being developed. There are regular Thyroid, Head & Neck and Joint OMF/ENT Xray MDT meetings.

This is a full time (10PA), Locum post and provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated clinician within a developing and growing service. The post is primarily based at Bedford Hospital with up to one day per week at Luton & Dunstable Hospital.
Applicants must be fully registered with the General Medical Council with license to practice. They must also have experience of working in the NHS.
