Pickerings Lifts is a national, well established, privately owned, independent, leading Industry specialist with 170 years' experience.

Due to continued success and growth, we require a

Loading Systems Engineer

to carry out servicing, callouts and repairs on loading bay and industrial access equipment covering

Loading Systems South East Region

.

Main Duties:

Servicing, Fault Finding & Repairs:

Proficiently service, diagnose faults, and repair loading bay and industrial access equipment, including dock levellers (mechanical & hydraulic), scissor lifts, vehicle restraints, industrial doors, gates, and barriers.

Reporting & Documentation:

Follow service check sheets and compile detailed reports highlighting any additional work needed post-service.

Scheduled Maintenance:

Complete maintenance schedules in line with agreed Service Contracts, ensuring standards are consistently met.

Engineer Support:

Act as a point of contact for engineers, offering technical assistance as required.

Repair Duties:

Undertake repair and maintenance duties as directed by management.

On-Call Participation:

Actively participate in a regional on-call rota to provide emergency support services.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Conform to and apply best practices in Health & Safety at all times, maintaining a safe working environment.

Person specification:

Full UK Driving Licence:

Essential for travel between sites.

Health & Safety Commitment:

Willingness to complete ongoing H&S training, staying up to date with the latest regulations and practices.

Communication Skills:

Excellent customer service and communication skills, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Industry Qualifications:

Hold recognised qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, and NVQ Level 2 in Loading Bay Equipment.

Technical Experience:

Relevant experience and/or qualifications in Electrical, Hydraulic, Mechanical Engineering, and Fabrication (including welding).

Training Willingness:

Proactive approach to competency, product-specific, and Health & Safety training.
