Job Description

Apply today to work as a Loading Shovel Operator for our client\'s maintenance and repair of Avonmouth aggregate manufacturing plant.

The rate of pay is \xc2\xa331,200 per year!

This is a full-time role 40 hours a week working rotating shifts, on a 3-shift basis. Primarily Monday to Friday but with the flexibility to cover the potential 24/7 operating hours of the plant.

Experience in a similar role is required.

Your Time at Work

As a Loading Shovel Operator, your duties include:

- Ensuring the plant is continually fed with aggregates, driving mobile plant, carrying out cleaning and minor maintenance
- Managing and loading incoming and outgoing aggregates
- Feeding, operating and maintaining the aggregate screening plant and reporting any issues that may arise
- Working in an efficient and productive manner, without the need for continual direct supervision
- Assisting the Shift Supervisors to ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly stock control is
controlled and monitored
- Maintaining a high level of awareness within the Plant for Health, Safety, Welfare and Security
matters and in this respect to lead by example and take a proactive approach
- Checking and ensuring the quality of the stock product and reporting non-conforming material as and
when necessary
- Conducting daily inspections of the loading shovel and washing as and when required
- Ensuring the plant and site are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
- Willingness to undertake training and learn new skills, required for efficient operations, such as
plant operation, plant maintenance, first aid, materials testing confined space working, etc
- Carrying out any other duty required by the Site Management

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect Loading Shovel Operator will be a confident communicator, both written and verbal. You will be mechanically minded, practical with a good attitude to housekeeping and cleanliness.

Loading Shovel Operators will have demonstrable experience in taking responsibility at work and excellent reliability. Must be competent with ITSSAR or equivalent qualifications in the operation of loading shovels.
