The Starbucks experience starts in our Roasting Plants where we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics.
As a loader technician, you will:
Load green coffee into the Green Coffee Cleaning and Green Coffee Silo Storage system.
Monitor and maintain green coffee dust collection system.
Coordinate with roasting and logistics partners to ensure schedules are met
Assist with coaching and mentoring of new loader technicians.
Ensure inventory accuracy by maintaining records and completes map of incoming product dock (IPD) for green coffee.
Operate forklift to transport green coffee from interim storage locations in the plant to the loading platform area.
Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for the loading station and green coffee silo storage Areas.
Advise maintenance partners of conditions impairing safe and correct operation of green coffee loading and transfer systems.
Demonstrate and understand safety as a core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; reinforces and coaches others to do the same.
Understand and follow established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out).
Support food safety, legality and quality programs.
Maintain product quality through adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures. Monitors and documents quality measures using analytical tools.
Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications
We\xe2\x80\x99d love to hear from people with:
High School diploma/GED or 4 years of US military service
Production or distribution environment (2 years)
Forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification
Ability to lift up to 150 pounds in a safe manner (team lift)
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail
Ability to perform inventory counts
Basic math skills
Ability to follow verbal direction
Knowledge of equipment maintenance
Troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated
Ability to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards

Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs loader technician
Ability to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards
Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (FDA Code of Federal Regulations) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Experience with the GFSI certification schemes (i.e. BRC and/or or SQF) (Preferred)
