Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and lead our culinary team. This is live in role. You will have full access to a 3 bedroom flat located above the pub property and the retal will be deducted from your overal wage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and hospitality, ensuring that our establishment maintains the highest standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests while managing daily kitchen activities.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production and service. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards. Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, demonstrating culinary skills as needed. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Address any issues or concerns that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with a passion for food production and presentation. Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. A background in hospitality is highly desirable, along with experience in restaurant operations.
