Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols. Participate in menu planning and suggest improvements based on customer feedback.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A genuine passion for food preparation and cooking, with an eagerness to learn new skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
