Salary: \xc2\xa332,740- \xc2\xa336,540 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting), subject to skills and experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week) plus overtime may be required
The Barbican is London\'s Creative Catalyst for arts, curiosity and enterprise.
We are an international arts, conference and education centre that present artistic experiences across music, theatre, dance, visual arts, and cinema that variously entertain, enable, enrich and educate our many audiences and participants. Our Theatre department is looking for a highly motivated Lighting Theatre Technician. The role is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining lighting equipment for stage performances, and rehearsals and you will be working and collaborating with directors, creative teams and production staff contributing to achieve the best creative onstage vision for every performance.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have experience of working within a mid to large scale technical theatre environment, you will have a good understanding of electrical principles, lighting data networks, experience of reading and analysing lighting plans and programming experience with EOS family consoles. Training and development can be provided
This position requires individuals to use their initiative and work independently, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and undertaken in a safe and professional manner, demonstrating a great understanding of relevant Health & Safety issues. The ability to work to deadlines and maintain an organised, ordered approach, with excellent attention to detail is important.
Weekends & unsocial hours working should be expected.
