We are looking for a

Lift Testing & Commissioning Engineer

to join our team in our Lift Installation and Modernisation department covering the Southwest. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established company that values expertise, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Main Duties:



Lift Testing & Compliance:

Perform testing new lift installations and modernisations in line with relevant standards and Pickerings Lifts' quality procedures.

Collaboration:

Work closely with Regional Project Managers and the Head of Lift Product Operations to ensure quality and efficiency.

Documentation & Quality Assurance:

Complete and issue all relevant test and quality documentation accurately and on time.

Fault Finding & Support:

Provide technical support for identifying and resolving post-installation defects.

Customer Engagement:

Maintain proactive communication with both internal and external customers throughout the testing process.

Installation Support:

Assist Project Managers and sub-contract installation teams to improve installation quality when required.

Site Travel:

Travel to client locations as needed, with occasional overnight stays.

Person Specification:



Experience & Background:

Proven experience as a Lift Test Engineer, with additional experience in lift installation or project management considered advantageous.

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 4 qualified or currently working towards completion.

Technical Skills:

Strong fault-finding abilities and good working knowledge of lift engineering standards.

IT Proficiency:

Confident using IT systems relevant to lift testing and reporting.

Customer Focus:

Proactive and professional approach to internal and external customer engagement.

Teamwork & Independence:

Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Interpersonal Skills:

Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
