We have 2 exciting opportunities to join us as an Account Manager within the Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical team.

This is field based role with an emphasis on building, developing and owning strong relationships with key customers resulting in commercial success. We\'re looking for people who ideally hold previous experience in a start-up business or have scale-up experience in a smaller team in a larger organisation, to support building-out our services.

Experience in solution selling is also key as you will develop an in-depth understanding of customers within the market, including their requirements, challenges and pain points, to harvest relationship and win accounts, establishing contracts.

A full and fairly complex sales cycle touches this role, including agreeing, presenting and negotiating pricing, so you\'ll need to navigate ambiguity throughout.

You will have full accountability for the satisfaction of your customers, and work closely with the team, specifically our Industry Solution Lead, in order to manage the development of solutions from initial lead to contract for your accounts. You\'ll also collaborate with business leads on day to day management of strategic accounts to develop and maintain account plans, monitoring businesses processes against contracts and be the key liaison between the customer and EMIS delivery teams.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Deliver new business sales to achieve or exceed the sales target for your accounts
  • Work with business leads on day to day management of strategic accounts to include:
  • Developing and maintaining detailed account plans for your accounts including key contacts and relationships, opportunity management and account strategy oversight of contractual process
  • Monitoring of business processes to ensure delivery against contract
  • Act as key point of liaison between customer and EMIS delivery teams
  • Liaise with product development of market and customer requirements; develop user stories and lead on product inception to ensure market fit
As a field-based role with the requirement to meet with customers, and travel to our offices for team meetings, you are required to hold a full UK driving license.

Who you\'ll be

You\'ll need to have proven experience of managing accounts, remaining resilient throughout whilst dealing with a range of existing and potential clients as well as internal stakeholders. Requiring you to hold excellent relationship building and problem-solving skills to ensure successful collaboration.

You need to be a solution focused individual, inquisitive, being able to fact find through different networks and hold strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build outstanding relationships.

Other key attributes:
  • You\'ll have a significant understanding of this market and some experience of working in a highly regulated sector is essential for this role
  • Experience of selling services in the regulated space would be an advantage
  • Excellent client presentation skills
  • A proactive attitude to prospecting and the tenacity to achieve and maintain a buoyant pipeline of appointments with new prospects
  • Ability to take ownership of accounts and work on your own initiative
