Job Description
encompasses Lancaster\'s teaching and research activities in Architecture, Art, Design, Film, and Theatre.
LICA seeks to appoint four Student Support Assistants to support the day-to-day running of equipment hire.
You will work closely with the LICA technicians in providing equipment to students. Working times will be flexible and requirements will vary week by week.
Preferred Start Date: 25th of September 2023
Expected End Date: 2nd of September 2024
Interview Date: 22nd of September 2023
Location: On the Lancaster University campus
Hours Per Week: 6
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing booked equipment to students
- Preparing equipment for hire
- Checking and sorting equipment on return
- Providing basic advice on the equipment available
- Provide basic support to students on how to book equipment
- Checking technical facilities for issues, including checks on the editing suite
The successful candidate should be:
- A Current Lancaster University Student available in 2023-2024 year
- Have Excellent communication skills
- Have Experience or knowledge of audio-visual equipment [would be beneficial]
- Have Competent IT skills
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines
- Organised and have methodical approach to work
