With relevant experience and the required skills and abilities the postholder will work to the Solicitor in the delivery of our conveyancing/property business and other legal work. The salary for this immediately available position will depend on evidence of experience.
A minimum of 1 years conveyancing experience is required. A background of working in Probate, Matrimonial and Litigation is desirable.
The essential key skills and abilities are: proficiency in IT (Microsoft, Word, Outlook and Excel) communication, self motivation, productive management of time and work to meet deadlines, ability to work effectively and courteously with clients and colleagues.
Main responsibilities are to :
Support the Solicitor efficiently in the management of case-load; quickly and accurately type documents from dictated and written notes, complete Land Registry E-registration, and documentation for Courts; initiate property searches, efficiently manage and retrieve files, deal confidently with clients in person and by telephone and manage the diary and appointments. Also to provide general administration and secretarial support. Other important personal responsibilities are to maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence with internal policies and procedures.
