Commercial Legal Counsel

Our client is a rapidly growing telecommunications infrastructure provider that operates in multiple countries, with a focus on expanding in emerging markets. We are seeking a Commercial Contracts Counsel to join the Group Legal team in London.

As part of the team, you will work closely with both Group and Country Legal teams on complex commercial contracts, serving as the first point of contact for procurement matters, while also handling day-to-day legal matters. The ideal candidate will be a professional, independent, and self-sufficient individual with top-tier law firm training.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide proactive legal advice to the Legal Team and business stakeholders on commercial matters, with a focus on procurement, vendor, operational, and other contracts.
-Assist in negotiating commercial contracts with customers and/or vendors.
-Offer practical and business-oriented legal advice, collaborate, and facilitate cross-functional team support.
-Ensure all contractual documents comply with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.

Ideal Candidate:

-UK qualified solicitor (or equivalent EU qualification) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm or as in-house counsel.
-Proven experience in commercial and general contract law, ideally from a telecommunications perspective and/or procurement/supply chain related contracts.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
-French, Portuguese, or Arabic language skills would be a plus.
