Job Description
A government-owned investment institution specialising in emerging countries is searching for a passionate corporate debt lawyer with experience in corporate lending to join their growing legal team in London. Your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Advising the organisation on all stages of debt investments including structuring, negotiating, execution, syndication & mobilisation, and portfolio management
- Risk identification & management
- Managing broader elements of transactions e.g., taxation and business integrity matters
- Managing external counsel
- Interpreting due diligence reports on legal risks
- Ad hoc matters required by the business including NDAs and engagement letters
The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 4 - 8 years\' post-qualification experience in a notable law firm or international financial institution with a strong interest in development finance. They will have experience working on corporate lending, trade & supply chain finance, debt capital markets, and structured finance.

One of the most crucial frameworks the business is supporting surrounds climate emergency, with at least 30% of new commitments sitting within climate finance.
