An interesting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join us in our Court of Protection department in our Cardiff office on a full-time permanent basis. The Legal Assistant will work closely with Fee Earners to support in the day to day running of matters effectively and efficiently, improving client service and compliance where possible, attending clients in person in the office or at their home and supporting the team to manage financial affairs for our vulnerable clients.

What will you be doing?
Support the organisation and progression of legal matters, helping fee earners manage workloads effectively, prioritise tasks, and deliver an excellent client experience from start to finish - supporting the team to manage financial affairs for our vulnerable clients.
Assist with day-to-day legal work, including drafting correspondence, conducting legal research, liaising directly with clients, and preparing supporting documentation
Manage essential administrative processes, including file opening, document management, billing, and compliance checks -- keeping everything running like clockwork.
Play a key role in handling new client enquiries, ensuring potential clients receive a warm, efficient introduction to our services and that follow-ups are handled promptly.
Who we're looking for:
Ideally degree level educated
- Ideally within a Law or other relevant background
Ideally previous work experience with CoP work
Strong IT skills
, particularly in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
Highly motivated and proactive
, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck into a wide variety of tasks.
Resourceful and solutions-focused
, able to manage competing priorities and stay calm under pressure.
Excellent organisational skills
with a sharp eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in everything from correspondence to compliance.
Strong communication skills
, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly manner when dealing with clients and colleagues.
