Are you passionate about employment law and ready to step into a hands-on advisory role? We are looking for a confident and ambitious
Legal Advisor
to join our dynamic Employment Law team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with demonstrable experience in employment law to grow their legal career in a fast-paced, high-performing environment with exposure to high-calibre clients and a broad variety of work.
This isn't just a stepping-stone or a training contract placeholder -- it's a real opportunity to contribute meaningfully, advise clients, and build your professional reputation in a thriving legal practice. You will be a key contact on the team's Employment and HR Support package with clients ranging from owner managed businesses, SME's to large national public and private sector organisations.
What will you be doing?
As a Legal Advisor, you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of top-tier employment law advice to clients across various sectors. You will work under the supervision of experienced Fee Earners, gaining exposure to contentious and non-contentious work, while also supporting the team with document production, research, client liaison, and administrative support.
Your work will be varied, including:
Advising clients under supervision on HR and employment law queries, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, capability concerns, sickness absence, and more.
Supporting Fee Earners with Employment Tribunal litigation -- including drafting witness statements and reviewing evidence.
Drafting Contracts of Employment, policies and procedures and other relevant materials for clients.
Conducting legal research to support the team and improve outcomes for clients.
Helping Fee Earners stay organised and compliant -- supporting billing, ID requirements and case progression.
Acting as a point of contact for new client enquiries, Employment Package clients and playing an active role in the team's service delivery.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who can hit the ground running, with the right balance of legal knowledge, commercial awareness, and people skills. You'll need to bring:
Practical experience in an employment law position. Experience from a law firm, in-house legal team, or employment-specific claims environment.
Confidence in managing basic HR-related queries and advising clients under supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, with a structured and proactive approach to legal work.
Solid IT and case management system skills (Microsoft Office proficiency is a must).
A collaborative mindset -- this role sits in a busy, client-facing team where responsiveness and communication are key.
Why This Role Is Unique
This position offers:
Real legal responsibility from day one, with supervision and support.
Access to a broad, interesting workload including clients in a range of industries.
Opportunity to develop your legal expertise and commercial awareness in a role that's more than just admin support.
A pathway into potential long-term legal roles as we continue to grow.
The chance to build your brand internally and externally through events, client contact, and collaborative work.
What is in it for you?
We're committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing legal team. You'll be joining colleagues who are not only legally excellent but also commercially astute and down-to-earth. We value trust, boldness, excellence and teamwork -- and we want you to thrive as part of that.
