About the Role:
You\xe2\x80\x99ll be joining the successful Sport and Exercise Sciences team: home to one of the highest ranked Sport and Exercise Sciences courses in the UK (The Guardian University League Tables).and the Cambridge Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, located in the Faculty of Science and Engineering on our Cambridge campus. We are forward-looking and enthusiastic, with a vision that combines commitment to a strong and active research culture with excellence in learning and teaching. We are seeking an experienced and motivated lecturer or lecturer practitioner to work across the Discipline of Sport and Exercise Science and specifically to contribute to teaching and administration in the area of the Sport Coaching and/or Physical Education theme. This position is fixed term for two-years.
You will have a degree and experience in teaching and learning in higher education along with considerable experience as a sports coach with current professional/industry qualifications. You will have/be working towards a PhD or professional doctorate in a relevant discipline (essential for the lecturer or senior lecturer position). You\xe2\x80\x99ll have a track-record of applied practice and networking in the field along with a commitment to CPD. Successful applicants will be delivering across the teaching and learning portfolio in the broad area of Sport Coaching and/or Physical Education.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the broad range of the School\xe2\x80\x99s teaching portfolio, in particular our campus-based BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching and Physical Education course. You will also demonstrate the ability and desire to contribute to the School\xe2\x80\x99s research and associated scholarly & consulting activities.
